Stash Café is a Polish restaurant that for over 30 years has woven itself into the fabric of Old Montreal. We are a family restaurant. A traditional restaurant with a timeless menu faithful to the secrets of the Polish kitchen.
On a sub-sub zero, frigid Montreal day, we enjoyed our lunch at Stash Cafe. I had the platter of mixed perogies, which was delicious, and I enjoyed comparing the taste of the different fillings. The borscht soup was more like a broth or consomme, very thin, so I found that a bit disappointing, I was expecting a more hearty soup, and although it was well flavored, it was not as substantial as I had hoped for on such an Arctic day. I would not recommend their borscht. However, everything else in terms of food and service were excellent. My husband and kids enjoyed their lunches as well. Next time we'd like to come in the evening and hear the piano player.
