This classic Italian pizzeria opened in 2009 and has established a dedicated following and cultivated an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a place you might find walking the streets of Milan. Pizzeria Geppetto brands itself as a classic Italian restaurant that serves signature pizza out of a traditional Italian-style wood oven.
“The owners used to own a restaurant just down the street here,” says manager Stephanie Larin. “My boss had a passion for good Italian food and fine wine. She always wanted to have a wood oven pizzeria, to have the authentic Italian pizza experience. It happened that this location was available and the area was booming. So she got a great deal and took it.”
Pizzeria Geppetto prides itself on creating an inviting dining experience that harkens back to old-style Italian cuisine. “People come here because they want authentic Italian food, and they love the ambience,” says Stephanie. “If you look at our reservations, it’s pretty much always busy. Sundays are really busy and of course, if there’s a show at the Corona Theatre, we’re full. I rarely see people that don’t finish their plate.”
